The Saigon Dilemma is an ongoing preliminary project of my exploration of the cultural milieu in Vietnam. These following images in this section are some of my present reflections. They are not in any specific order or series just yet, as I am still trying to locate an arching strategy to articulate my reflection in a cohesive, textual form.
The main concept of this exploration revolves around the juxtaposition of contradictory elements that is apparently inherent within Vietnamese's social structure. These circumstances stemmed from its nation's dark historical past from the Saigon War that lingers despite the nation's rapid urbanization to integrate itself as a contender of the globalized world economies and communities.
